PRYTHOS · FOR CHEMICAL EXPORTERS

In chemicals, regulation decides who can buy from you.

Prythos connects your specification to industrial demand, destination rules and qualified importers, so chemical exporters pursue markets and buyers they can actually serve.

In FY2025-26, exports of Chemexcil-covered products were US$ 20,546.29 million, down 2.96% on the year before; exports to China rose 15% while exports to Japan fell 37% (Chemexcil, 63rd Annual Report 2025-26, pp. 34–35). One category. Opposite directions.
03 · THE WORLD

Chemicals is sold on specification and on paperwork. The same substance can be a different commercial proposition depending on its grade, its form, the industry that consumes it and the rules of the country that receives it.

Chemexcil's FY2025-26 report breaks the category into groups: organic chemicals (US$ 7,680.36 million), agro chemicals (US$ 3,871.29 million), inorganic chemicals (US$ 2,408.70 million), dyes (US$ 2,189.85 million) and dye intermediates (US$ 185.65 million), alongside cosmetics, toiletries and essential oils, and castor oil (Chemexcil, p. 34). The top 15 destinations took about 63% of exports (the report's total, p. 35; ratio is our calculation).

In that world, a buyer is not only a customer. In many destinations, the importer is also the party with legal duties for the substance.

EXPORT CORRIDORS: CONNECTING LEADING PRODUCTION TO GLOBAL DESTINATIONS
04 · THE TENSION

Averages hide the market you should have been in.

In FY2025-26 the Chemexcil group fell 2.96%. Inside that number: exports to China rose 15%, Italy 6%, while Japan fell 37%, Saudi Arabia 12% and the USA 7%. By product group, inorganic chemicals rose 5.97% and dye intermediates 17.74%, while agro chemicals fell 9.37% and dyes 9.48% (Chemexcil, pp. 34–35).

The report also shows Africa up and West Asia and North Africa down on its regional table (p. 36): West Asia and North Africa was US$ 2,513 million; our calculation from the report's two years gives about −11%.

A flat or falling headline can contain a growing market for your product. Finding it takes more than the headline.

05 · THE COMPLEXITY

One market decision. Six layers of signal.

01

Specification.

Substance, grade, purity and form define who can use it and where it can go.

02

Industrial demand.

Which industries consume it, and where is that consumption growing?

03

Regulation, and who carries it.

Under EU REACH, manufacturers and importers register substances at one tonne or more per year, the registrant must be established in the EEA, and companies outside the EU/EEA have no direct REACH obligations: the EU importer must comply, unless the non-EU manufacturer appoints an "only representative" to fulfil the importer's obligations (Your Europe, no page date shown). In the US, importers must certify under TSCA section 13 that imported chemicals comply with TSCA or are not subject to it, and import counts as manufacture for new-chemical notification (EPA, updated 8 Sep 2026). ``

04

Destination terms.

The India-UK CETA entered into force on 15 July 2026 (PIB, 17 Jun 2026); the India-EU FTA was concluded on 27 January 2026 and is not yet in force (India Briefing, updated 22 Oct 2026). Duty treatment depends on the tariff line. US tariff treatment is unsettled.

05

Competition.

Which origins already supply this buyer, and on what terms?

06

Qualified buyers.

Importers, distributors and end users who can legally and technically buy your grade.

06 · THE OLD WAY

Directories, brokers and compliance by country.

A buyer directory. A broker's introduction. A compliance consultant for one jurisdiction at a time. An export-statistics spreadsheet by chapter. Each is useful, and each answers one layer.

The risk: pursuing a buyer before establishing whether the market's rules, and the importer's obligations, make the sale practical.

07 · THE PRYTHOS INTELLIGENCE LAYER

Prythos checks the market against the rules before you chase the buyer.

Prythos is the intelligence layer between scattered trade and regulatory signals and the decision in front of you. It reads specification, industrial demand, regulation, trade terms and buyer capability together, and returns an answer to a commercial question: which qualified buyers are worth pursuing.

Don't give your team more data. Give them a better decision.

Prythos supports commercial decisions. It does not provide regulatory or legal advice and does not replace compliance expertise.

`` Capability language describes the product as designed. Confirm each signal source is live at launch and trim any line that is not.

08 · CATEGORY INTELLIGENCE

Five decisions every chemical exporter faces.

Where the demand is
Which industries and destinations consume this grade?
Industrial demand and trade flows by product
Whether the market is open
What must be registered or certified there, and by whom?
Registration and certification regimes mapped to your substance
Who carries the duty
Is the importer responsible, or must I act through a representative?
Importer-versus-exporter obligations by market
Whether you can compete
Who supplies this buyer today, and on what terms?
Competing origins and trade terms
Who can buy
Which importers, distributors and end users are qualified to buy my grade?
Buyer profiles ranked by fit and capability
09 · DECISION JOURNEY

From a specification to a buyer who can actually buy.

Each step removes options the evidence does not support. What remains is a qualified buyer worth pursuing, with the reasons attached.

10 · BUYER INTELLIGENCE

In chemicals, a qualified buyer is part of the product.

Find the open market
Demand and regulation narrow the world to destinations you can serve
Answer: Where should I look?
Map the buyers
Importers, distributors and end-use industries active for your substance
Answer: Who buys this grade?
Prioritise by capability
Buyers ranked by fit, activity and ability to import, with the reasoning shown
Answer: Who first, and why?

Prythos prioritises. You decide. Every ranking shows its reasoning.

11 · OPPORTUNITY → REVENUE

A qualified buyer still has to be converted.

The Export Revenue Agent takes an opportunity from first enquiry to recorded outcome:

Is this RFQ from a party that can legally import it? What should the quote say, given what is known about the market and its rules? How and when do we follow up? What did we learn from the outcome?

`` Stage descriptions must match the Export Revenue Agent copy on the How it works page.

12 · ILLUSTRATIVE WORKFLOWILLUSTRATIVE · HYPOTHETICAL SCENARIO

A mid-sized Indian maker of specialty organic intermediates is exploring a new destination.

Specification
What exactly are we offering?
Substance, grade and purity defined as an importer would register it
Decision: One product leads
Demand
Who consumes it?
End-use industries and destinations with movement
Decision: A handful of candidate markets
Regulation
What does selling there require, and of whom?
Registration and certification duties, and whether the importer or the exporter carries them
Decision: Drop markets where the route is impractical
Buyer
Who is set up to buy?
Importers and distributors by fit and capability
Decision: A short list to approach
Action
What happens at the first RFQ?
Qualified, quoted with context, followed up, outcome recorded
Decision: The outcome shapes the next market

No number appears in this scenario because none is real. When Prythos has customer results, they replace this section.

13 · BUSINESS IMPACT

What changes when the decision is evidence-led.

01

Markets are chosen on demand and rules together, not on demand alone.

02

The compliance route is clear before the buyer conversation starts.

03

Buyers are approached on capability, so fewer conversations stall.

04

Quotes carry context and follow-ups carry discipline.

05

Every outcome informs the next market.

These are the changes Prythos is designed to make. They are aims, not measured results, until customer evidence exists.

14 · WHY PRYTHOS

Four principles, one standard.

Evidence.

Every claim carries its source and date. If we cannot source it, we do not say it.

Intelligence.

Signals connected into a decision, not stacked into a dashboard.

Action.

The work continues through the RFQ to the outcome.

Precision.

Your substance, your grade, your market, your buyer. Not an industry average.

Don't give businesses more data. Give them better decisions.
15 · PROOF

Pre-launch, so the proof is the evidence behind the problem.

Prythos has no customer results to show yet, and this page will not pretend otherwise. What it can stand behind today is the evidence for the problem it is built to solve:

16 · FOUNDER PERSPECTIVE
“I'm JImmey, the founder of Prythos. Before building it, I spent time in conversation with exporters and industry leaders, and eight months working inside the industry. What stood out was not a shortage of information. It was how much effort it took to turn scattered information into a decision someone could act on. Prythos is my answer: not more data, but better decisions, carried through to revenue.”
